The grade 6 students have been busy learning about the issues being discussed in the current election campaign. One thing they have all learned is that there are multiple opinions for every issue! Earlier this month, there was an all Candidate's meeting at Pioneer Park where the students were able to hear directly from the candidates themselves. On Friday, October 16, all grade 6 students (and other junior students) will be able to cast their vote on an official ballot in a program called "Student Vote." This program encourages all students to have their voice heard and be an active member in our democracy by voting for their choice of Prime Minister, in their school. It will be very interesting on find out on Tuesday, October 20th, if the junior students at Pioneer Park voted similarly to the rest of Canada on electing our next Prime Minister. Stay tuned for updated election results, and be sure to vote on Monday, October 19th! www.antidotemag.com
